I’m Mike, an award-winning, published photographer and writer located in Northern Virginia.

After a fulfilling career, I’ve stepped into a new chapter focused on creativity, curiosity, and joy. Retirement isn’t slowing down; it’s a chance to immerse myself in what matters most: family, photography, writing, travel, and the natural world.

I reflect on the world through images and words. My photography captures nature and wildlife in moments that moved me, while my writing dives deeper, sharing stories, reflections, and insights that bring those moments to life.

Travel has become less about escape and more about connection, wonder, and discovery. My travel and nature blog is where I share these experiences, a mix of photos and essays that continue to evolve with me.

I’m also a husband, father, and grandfather, and some of my most meaningful moments are spent with family, especially my grandkids. When I’m not behind the camera or writing, you’ll find me hiking, biking, playing guitar, practicing Tai Chi, or quietly taking in the beauty around me.
