Over time, I found myself paying attention to something I hadn’t really noticed before, the small moments just before a decision is made.
Not the decision itself, and not the outcome. Just that brief pause beforehand. The moment when something could go one way or another, often without much thought at all.
They’re easy to miss. They pass quickly. But they seem to shape more than we realize.
The quiet “I’ll do it later.”
The automatic “yes.”
The subtle lean toward what feels easier, or faster, or familiar.
These moments show up in everyday life, again and again, and most of the time they pass without much notice.
After sitting with that for a while, I found myself wanting to explore it in a different way.
I’ve started a short, reflective podcast called Before You Decide. Each episode lingers in one of these moments, not to explain it or fix it, but simply to notice it more clearly.
It feels like a natural extension of that kind of reflection, a quieter way of noticing the small, everyday moments we often pass by.
